For gentlemen unable to attend in person, The Distant Atelier offers a disciplined way to commission a garment through the CTC house silhouette.
Your sample garment provides the framework.
Our interpretation provides the refinement.
This is not a convenience tier.
It is the atelier, practiced across distance.
THE PROCESS
1. CLOTH SELECTION
Browse our curated house cloths.
For refined Italian cloths, we turned to Biella.
For structured English worsteds, we turned to Yorkshire.
If none tempt you, simply reach out — our team can help.
2. CLIENT FORM
Send us your details through the Client Form —
kept as short and clear as possible.
3. COLLECTION
Our team will contact you to confirm your commission
and arrange collection of your sample garment.
4. VIDEO CALL
Once we have your sample garment, a video call is arranged.
We review styling, measurements, posture, balance,
and the intent of your garment.
5. MUSLIN FITTING
After completing your pattern, we create a prototype garment (muslin)
and send it to you to try on.
6. FOLLOW‑UP VIDEO CALL
When you receive the muslin, we schedule a follow‑up call
to examine the fit and discuss any final adjustments.
7. CREATE & RETURN
Your garment is created under our 30+ hour Atelier Custom Make.
We return your finished garment and your original sample
once complete.

and styling of an old favorite — whether bespoke, made‑to‑measure,
or ready‑to‑wear.

WHAT IT ISN’T
It is not a carbon‑copy service.
We do not replicate another maker’s silhouette or construction.
Your measurements and preferred details — pockets, lapels, vents —
can be carried forward.
But every garment is interpreted through the
CTC house silhouette.
That is the standard.

The Distant Atelier is offered exclusively
in our Atelier Custom make, with 30+ hours of hand tailoring,
where the full CTC silhouette can be properly interpreted
and executed.
